My hope is that this will be an expanding topic for me as I find more information about how to better go out camping. Gear, tips and tricks, locations, weather, etc. will "limit" my scope of this post.

I saw your question regarding sand bakkel tins. The tins belonged to Peg's grandparents so I don't think they will part with any. I did an online search for these tins a few years ago and found a few places you can buy them... maybe put a want add on Craig's list?
